Working Building Fire
Saturday, September 26, 2020

Just after 3pm on September 26th Station 5 and Engine 7 were dispatched to the Riverview Inn for a water flow alarm. As units started to respond the county started to receive multiple calls reporting flames through the roof. So the card was then upgraded to a working alarm. Rescue Engine 7 arrived on scene with smoke showing and laid in from the corner of Main and Front St. Rescue Engine 7’s crew pulled an attack line off and made entry through the rear of the building. While Ladder 5’s crew forced entry and conducted searches. Crews found fire in the kitchen and extinguished the same with no extension. The incident went to two alarms before the fire was under control. Units stayed on scene for a few hours overhauling and ventilating the structure. Good work by all companies involved and a good knock down by the first arriving company’s. We also would like to thank the company’s that covered our station while crews were operating on scene.
