On the afternoon of July 3, 2010, Rescue 7 was added to Station 14's MVC call for a serious MVC. Reports from the scene while enroute stated a vehicle had left the roadway and impacted a tree. Station 14, Rescue 7, Life Support 5, and Squad 11 we dispatched to the scene. Rescue 7 arrived on scene and sized-up the crash, stabilized the vehicle, and began extrication on a late model 7 series BMW with two occupants heavily entrapped in the front of the passenger compartment. This was a very challenging extrication for our crew. The BMW has many high-strength-steel components and the position of the car vehicle added additional issues.
