On Sunday Evening at approximately 1800 hrs. New Castle County units along with Deepwater where alerted to vehicle fire with a large fuel load on the bridge. The vehicle was at the top of the East Bound Span and was blocking the flow of traffic. With the NCC units delayed due to the traffic the DRBA advised Deepwater Units to go up the wrong side of the bridge. Rescue 7 was first to arrive and knocked down the fire. NCC units and Engine 7 assisted with overhaul.
