Extrication Weekend 2013

Deepwater Fire Department held advanced extrication training on Oct 12th and 13th of 2013. The location was in Deepwater at the C Coral facility owned by Dupont Chambers Works. The Deepwater Fire Department worked in conjunction with other local fire departments to ensure this training was beneficial to the local firefighters and citizens to improve the local firefighter’s abilities to help those involved in motor vehicle crashes traveling our roadways. Deepwater Fire Department hired Brock Archer and his team from Advanced Extrication.com to head up the training. The training focused on more challenging scenarios involving motor vehicle crashes, with patient care, changing automotive technology, and high strength steels used in modern automobiles today. Attending the two day training were members from the Deepwater Fire Department, Mannington Fire Department, Liberty Fire Company of Pennsgrove,Salem City Fire Department 6-2, and  Logan Volunteer Fire Company of Pedricktown. Special thanks to donations from Local businesses Sam Taylor and Sons, SJ Trucking, Bobbitt Boys Towing, B&F Towing, Riehls Towing,Mario’s Towing, and Eastern Metal Recycling.
